Step into the inviting world of The Majestic, a beloved King Street gem since 1932. Housed in a historic Old Town, Alexandria storefront, The Majestic blends modern American comfort food with the charm of an intimate jazz club and vibrant art salon.
Timeless food classics are delivered in dishes like a signature Hand-Cut Beef Tartare, Seared Sea Scallops and an excellent Bone-In Pork Chop prepared in a showcase-style open kitchen. The real show, however, is behind the bar, where a talented team creates signature cocktails and playful twists on the classics. Those who prefer their spirits neat will discover one of Alexandria’s largest, world-class list of rare whiskeys.
In 2001, a thoughtful restoration preserved the venue’s decades-old charm. Art-deco influences abound, you’ll find original design elements from 1949, including stunning neon signs, classic terrazzo floors, and parts of the original signature tin ceiling. Just look for the neon; a 25-foot tall exterior Majestic sign will let you know you’ve arrived.
